2023-08-28 01:25
Odaily News According to the encrypted data platform Arkham, Prime Trust, on X platform (formerly Twitter), stated that the old wallet address (ending in 98f) holds tokens worth over $45 million, with 95% (approximately $44.14 million) being ETH.

Currently, the Prime Trust team is unable to access the wallet. The wallet address is 0xf4E11b89519EcCd988A56749f1C64aD9bFe0298f.

Previously, Prime Trust CEO Jor Law mentioned that Prime Trust had opened a cold wallet called "98f wallet" for holding tokens in March 2018. In 2019, Prime Trust transferred its wallet to a system operated by the digital security platform Fireblocks. However, the company was not aware that the process of migrating from the traditional wallet to the new system was not fully completed, and they were also unaware that the addresses provided to customers still allowed them to deposit funds into the "98f wallet". It was only when a customer requested a large amount of ETH withdrawal, and the company was unable to meet their withdrawal demand, that they realized these mistakes. To make matters worse, Prime Trust soon discovered that they no longer had access to the physical devices required to access the old wallet. Law stated that currently, Prime Trust still cannot access the 98f wallet.
