Odaily News In a recent interview, Vitalik Buterin commented, "Cryptocurrency projects do not need to be decentralized. IOTA and XRP are still fully centralized, but they are still listed as cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap."



Buterin also pointed out that "XRP has not apologized for its previous misleading behavior. In December 2020, they claimed in the documents submitted to the US government that XRP should be favored over Bitcoin and Ethereum."



XRP community members expressed dissatisfaction with Buterin's comments. RIZ.XRP stated that Buterin is "suppressing" other cryptocurrencies like XRP, beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. Other XRP enthusiasts also shared instances to prove that ETH is more centralized than XRP.



This is not the first time Buterin has criticized XRP. In 2020, Buterin urged Ethereum supporters not to defend Ripple in its legal battle with the SEC. (Times Tabloid)
