Odaily News: The Web3 creator social media platform Calaxy App, co-founded by NBA star Spencer Dinwiddie, has launched its web application on the Hedera network, according to HBAR Foundation's recent tweet.
The first public version of Calaxy is officially live. Leveraging the Web3 capabilities built on Hedera DLT, Calaxy offers creators an end-to-end toolkit for a range of sales experiences and immediate payments in USD or USDC.
Through video calls, exclusive fan content, and mutual promotion, creators can customize experiences supported by Hedera NFTs, which can be publicly verified on the chain and purchased by users using USD or USDC.
Calaxy users will be able to quickly establish a non-custodial digital wallet for sending, receiving, and storing cryptocurrencies.
As previously reported, in June 2022, the crypto social platform Calaxy announced a $26 million funding round with lead investments from Animoca Brands and HBAR Foundation, and participation from Polygon.
Calaxy aims to build a user-to-social platform based on blockchain technology, where fans can connect with renowned creators through video messages, online courses, video calls, and fan club subscriptions. Content subscriptions can be purchased using Calaxy's native token, CLXY.
