Argentina Releases Electricity Rate List, Will Increase Cryptocurrency Mining Fees

Odaily News: The Ministry of Economy in Argentina has released a tariff list for electricity, which will increase the electricity cost for cryptocurrency mining. According to the document, the cost for mining activities will be 17,240 Argentine pesos per megawatt-hour, approximately $63.3. Residential energy, on the other hand, will receive a 70% subsidy, with prices at around $11.3 per megawatt-hour. The revised rates will take effect on August 1st and will continue until October 31st, 2023, with the possibility of further changes. (Cryptonews)
