Linea: To ensure the security of user assets, a minimum withdrawal delay of 8 hours has been set. This withdrawal delay will gradually decrease over the next few weeks.

Odaily News: Linea tweeted that since the launch of its mainnet Alpha version, it has bridged over $20 million in assets and completed 670,000 transactions within a week, leading to temporary increase in withdrawal time for Ethereum. The team is working to expedite the asset bridging from L2 to L1. Withdrawal time is expected to gradually decrease and reach the target of 8-32 hours in the next few days, ensuring all pending transactions are processed.

Linea explained that to closely monitor transactions and protect user assets, the team initially added a manual delay of at least 8 hours to Linea Mainnet Alpha. The delay will be reduced to 4 hours and further decreased in the upcoming weeks, eventually eliminating the manual delay as the system matures.

Earlier today, Twitter user @pcaversaccio revealed that there seems to be some delay issues with Linea's official cross-chain bridge for redeeming Layer2 to Layer1 (Ethereum). The cross-chain bridge interface claims the entire process "may take 8-32 hours," but @pcaversaccio and other Discord users reported that it took them 4 days to retrieve their funds, and some users' funds were still stuck after 6 days.
