He argued that Congress must immediately ban any actions related to the design, construction, development, testing, or establishment of CBDC. Davidson believes that currency should be a stable store of value and should not be planned by a central authority. It is reported that Davidson's comments are based on the CBDC project of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.



According to previous reports, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (FRS) is recruiting a cryptographic architect for a CBDC project. The job posting requires knowledge in distributed system implementation, cryptographic protocols, consensus algorithms, and security. The posting stated, "Considering the importance of the US dollar, the FRS aims to further understand the costs and benefits of CBDC and the potential technologies in this emerging field."
