Polygon PoS chain has successfully executed the Indore hard fork.

2023-07-11 10:59
Odaily News: The Polygon PoS blockchain has successfully executed the "Indore" hard fork today at block height 44934656. This hard fork is part of the "Inborg" upgrade. It is reported that the "Inborg" upgrade consists of two different PIP proposals:

- Indore (PIP-12), which was executed a few hours ago, aims to improve network stability and eliminate potential BADBLOCK errors by updating the State Sync mechanism.

- Aalborg (PIP-11), which will be executed next month, aims to accelerate the finality of the network by introducing the concept of "milestones" and a dual-client architecture.

Therefore, the Indore hard fork executed today is only part of the upgrade for Polygon, which aims to eliminate delays and synchronization issues between blocks. (Cryptonomist)

According to previous reports, Polygon has released the Bor v0.4.0 mainnet, which includes a hard fork called Indore fork, scheduled to update at block height 44934656, expected time is noon on July 11th (UTC+8).
