Odaily News: Thai cryptocurrency exchange Bitkub has completed a new round of financing. The funding was invested by local game developer Asphere Innovations, with Bitkub selling 9.22% of its shares to Asphere at a price of $17.8 million.
Bitkub stated that the funds raised from this financing will help the company expand its digital asset services in Thailand. As of last year, Thailand had over 6.2 million people owning cryptocurrency.
Previously, SCBX had offered a $500 million bid to acquire a 51% stake in Bitkub. (techinasia)
