Odaily News: On-chain analyst Murphy posted on X platform that from October 7 to 8, Bitcoin long-term holders (LTHs) transferred approximately 32,000 BTC to exchanges, marking the second-largest single-day inflow since the major sell-off on February 5 this year. However, during the same period, a U.S. government-related wallet transferred approximately 17,200 BTC to Coinbase Prime. Given that this platform serves as the official custodian and trading service provider for the U.S. Marshals Service, the related transfer does not necessarily indicate a sale. After excluding this portion, the notable potential selling pressure amounts to approximately 14,800 BTC, primarily from long-term holdings with coin ages of 6 to 12 months and 3 to 5 years.
Murphy noted that the long-term holder coins spent on October 8 had an average coin age of 712 days, higher than the 651 days on July 14, indicating that earlier holdings are gradually participating in turnover. He believes that long-term holder distribution during the bull-bear transition phase is not necessarily bearish. The phased release of selling pressure helps with coin redistribution, and the key lies in whether market demand can effectively absorb it. If new capital can digest the supply, sufficient turnover may actually reduce resistance for subsequent market movements.

Odaily News: Crypto trader Ansem posted on X platform stating that over the past few years, crypto assets have performed at historically low levels relative to other asset classes, primarily due to factors including talent flowing into the AI industry, insufficient innovation following the DeFi boom, and gold undergoing a massive value reassessment. Combined with the large-scale liquidation event in the altcoin market on October 10 last year, both institutional and retail sentiment and positioning allocation toward altcoins are currently at multi-year lows, potentially even hitting historic lows.
On the other hand, some altcoins currently possess characteristics such as reduced VC selling pressure, genuine product-market fit (PMF) built on crypto infrastructure, and benefits from an improving regulatory environment. Additionally, the massive paper gains generated by the AI supercycle could serve as a potential source of capital. He predicts that future market capital will become more concentrated in a select few tokens with fundamental support, and once these tokens attract buying interest, their prices could rise rapidly.

Odaily News: The crypto market remains range-bound. Bitcoin rose 0.82% this morning, breaking above $84,000, while Ethereum is trading at $2,535, BNB at $754, and SOL at $111. The total crypto market cap declined 0.3% in 24 hours to $2.894 trillion.
In terms of sectors, Layer 2 scaling and modular sectors stood out. MAGIC surged 38.96% in 24 hours to $0.1359, while S, W, LUMIA, PLUME, and STRK gained 27.81%, 24.26%, 21.44%, 21.21%, and 20.52% respectively.

Odaily reports: Crypto trader Killa posted that the most ideal path for Bitcoin (BTC) would be to continue rising before the US midterm elections, building a bullish narrative and breaking previous highs, then experiencing a pullback after the elections as has occurred in historical cycles — but this time the pullback may not form a new cycle low, instead establishing a higher low.
Killa stated that if BTC declines before the midterm elections, he believes the market is more likely to rebound to around $95,000 after the elections. The market has already seen nearly $2 billion in long positions liquidated, and there are only about 3 weeks remaining until the US midterm elections. The market may currently be experiencing a "maximum pain" scenario: after some market narratives have already been broken, BTC rebounds before the elections, then reverses course to pressure traders on the other side, ultimately leading the market to re-deleverage risk.
Killa pointed out that in the past 4 US midterm elections, 3 saw declines within 1-2 months after the elections, with historical samples showing a probability of approximately 75%. However, he said he still holds a 10x BTC long position, as well as long positions previously established at $62,600 and $76,400, none of which have been reduced.

Odaily reports: Crypto analyst Ali has posted that Ethereum's 10-minute chart appears to be forming an "Adam and Eve Bottom" pattern. The key resistance level currently in focus is the neckline near $2,520. If ETH can consistently close above this level, it could confirm a bullish breakout and further open up upside potential, with the target area of interest at $2,640.

According to OKX market data, STRK reached a high of $0.12 and is currently trading at $0.1039, up 46.4% in 24 hours.
