Frens
Frens is a streamlined dApp that pledges ETH with friends. By inviting friends to pool 32 ETH, a distributed validator can be activated, which reduces the risk of users staking alone. And Frens is built on top of SSV, which ensures a certain degree of fault tolerance and performance, and also improves the sociability and rewards of staking with friends in the mining pool.
Generally speaking, there is a certain threshold for staking ETH, users need a lot of technical knowledge and some infrastructure, and it is also very expensive (32 ETH is not cheap for a single pledger). When users misconfigure validator nodes, they may lose their ETH. Due to these challenges, most people choose to use centralized non-custodial staking services such as Coinbase or Kraken for staking, which will bring the risk of centralization.
