Multiple crypto trading platforms strengthen security measures, Coinbase adjusts cold storage system
Odaily Report: Following the $6.3 billion theft suffered by Binance, multiple crypto trading platforms are strengthening their security measures. Coinbase Chief Security Officer Jeff Lunglhofer stated that, out of prudence, the company has made partial adjustments to its cold storage system. Gemini has added early-warning and restriction measures for fund transfers; Kraken said it is closely monitoring the situation and that its platform services are operating normally. Coinbase Vice President of Product Will Megson stated that the company is upgrading its phone protection measures to protect users from scam calls. He noted that scammers often keep the call connected to trick victims into changing their account settings.
