Gate officially announced the launch of Hong Kong stock trading services, further expanding its global securities asset coverage. Users can upgrade the Gate App to version v8.23.5 or above, then directly trade stocks listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange through the Gate stock entry point. By using USDT to easily participate in the Hong Kong stock market, users no longer need to open a separate account with a traditional Hong Kong brokerage or exchange Hong Kong dollars themselves, further lowering the barrier to entry for global capital markets.

As a significant expansion of Gate's stock business, the first phase of this launch offers over 1,000 Hong Kong stock targets. It covers high-quality listed companies with larger market capitalizations and better liquidity on the Main Board and GEM of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, including representative companies such as Tencent Holdings, HSBC Holdings, Contemporary Amperex Technology, China Mobile, Xiaomi Group, Meituan, BYD Company, Ping An Insurance, AIA Group, and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing. Subsequently, Gate will continue to expand the range of tradable targets based on market demand and compliance requirements.

After the Hong Kong stock trading service goes live, users can share the same stock account system with existing US stock products, enabling unified fund management, position management, and trading experience. Users only need to transfer USDT from their spot or unified account to their stock account to directly participate in Hong Kong stock trading. Compared to US stocks, Hong Kong stock transactions are denominated in Hong Kong dollars (HKD), with prices, position market values, and profits or losses all displayed in HKD. Only intraday trading is supported; pre-market and after-hours trading services are not available. Simultaneously, Hong Kong stock trading supports the same buy, sell, position management, order inquiry, and asset management functions as US stocks, providing users with a more convenient one-stop investment experience.
