As the countdown to the 2026 World Cup begins, alongside prediction markets, the sports collectibles market is also heating up.
For the trading card market, the World Cup is not just a sporting event but also a window for a concentrated surge in trading sentiment around player cards, limited editions, and sports collectibles. In reality, trading cards are not a niche market. In the Web2 world, sports cards, Pokémon cards, and various collectible cards have already formed a multi-billion dollar trading and collection ecosystem.
Recently, Odaily Planet Daily observed that MarketCards is attempting to bring these real-world collectible assets onto the blockchain, allowing rare cards not only to be displayed and collected but also to participate in subscriptions, trading, and on-chain pricing.
On June 4, MarketCards announced the launch of its first MintBox subscription event. This is an on-chain asset Initial Launch centered around rare physical cards. The platform will tokenize the rights corresponding to 68 1:1 rare sports trading cards it has personally procured and offer them 100% publicly to all participants.
Project Introduction
MarketCards is an on-chain asset platform for real-world collectible cards, with the core focus on tokenizing physical collectibles such as sports cards and rare cards. Previously, such card assets primarily circulated within offline collector circles or Web2 trading platforms, suffering from limited trading reach, fragmented pricing, and insufficient liquidity. MarketCards aims to bring real card assets into a more transparent and liquid on-chain trading system through on-chain rights confirmation, public offerings, and secondary market trading.
MintBox, this subscription event, is the Initial Launch mechanism for Tokenized Interest introduced by MarketCards. Simply put, when a card or a set of cards is tokenized on the platform, it is opened for subscription to all users via MintBox, and the corresponding rights are distributed according to public and verifiable rules.
Step-by-Step Guide to Participating in MintBox Subscription
Currently, the MintBox subscription event progress exceeds 70%, with the total value of Tickets sold exceeding $210,000. Below, Odaily Planet Daily provides a step-by-step guide on how to participate in the subscription.

MintBox Allocation Method
1. Purchase Tickets and Obtain Numbers. Users receive 1 Ticket for every 10 USDC spent. Each Ticket has a unique 4-digit number (e.g., 2727), which is randomly generated by the system upon completion of the subscription and displayed immediately. Additionally, each Ticket records its generation time, serving as a tiebreaker for ranking within the same group.
2. Obtain the Draw Factor. After the subscription ends, the platform will take the Binance BTC/USDC spot price at June 8, 00:00 UTC, retain two decimal places, and extract the tens digit, units digit, first decimal digit, and second decimal digit sequentially to form the 4-digit Draw Factor. Example: If the BTC price is 77,795.60, the tens digit is 9; the units digit is 5; the first decimal digit is 6; the second decimal digit is 0, meaning the Draw Factor is 9560.
3. Compare User Tickets with the Factor. Compare the 4-digit number of the user's Ticket with the Draw Factor digit by digit. A digit is counted as a "hit" only if it matches the exact digit in the same position. The more digits matched, the higher the winning tier. Example: If the Draw Factor is 9560 and the user's Ticket is 3560, the last three digits match, resulting in a 3/4 hit.
4. Rank User Tickets. First, sort by the number of matching digits (4/4 > 3/4 > 2/4 > 1/4 > 0/4); within the same group, sort by subscription time, with earlier subscriptions ranking higher.
5. Obtain Corresponding Box Numbers Based on Ticket Ranking. There are 30,000 Boxes in this event. Tickets ranked 1st to 30,000th will receive corresponding Boxes sequentially. The 1st place gets Box #1, the 2nd place gets Box #2, and so on. (Tickets ranked after 30,000 are considered unsuccessful, and the corresponding subscription amount can be manually claimed back by the user after the results are announced.)
MintBox features a Lucky Digit mechanism. For each friend successfully invited to participate in this event who subscribes for at least 100 USDC, the inviter receives 1 Lucky Digit. Each Ticket can have a maximum of 3 Lucky Digits. The digit upgraded to a Lucky Digit no longer requires an exact match; any number from 0 to 9 is considered a hit.
Furthermore, Lucky Digits are only granted to the inviter and are applied sequentially based on the Ticket generation order. The unlocking order is fixed: 1st position, 2nd position, 3rd position. The 4th position always remains an exact match position.
