Gameplay Guide
Currently, Season 1 of The Beacon only has two paths available. First, keep moving up on the main game page to enter the "Dungeon." Clear the dungeon to earn Shadow Shards, which can be exchanged for Umbra Chests.
Entering the dungeon consumes 20 Energy points (players start with 100 Energy). You can choose between a bow and a dagger as your weapon to challenge the game and earn Shadow Shards.
Second, keep moving right on the main game page to reach Kraken Klash. Here, you bet on which grid will be randomly selected. Guessing correctly rewards you with Goblin Coins (NPCs in Kraken Klash offer exchange rates for Shadow Shards, Goblin Coins, and Glint Coins).
Chests and Rewards
Season 1 rewards consist of Cosmetics and BCN tokens. For free-to-play players, cosmetics are account-bound. For premium players, cosmetics are NFTs; players can become premium by purchasing the "Starter Pack."
Additionally, Chests are the primary method of obtaining rewards in Season 1, including 3 types of Chests, specifically:
1. Umbra Chests: Obtained by collecting Shadow Shards. These chests contain cosmetics and a small amount of BCN token rewards.
Umbra Chests come in free and premium versions. In the free version, the probability of an Umbra Chest being Common is 59.06%; Rare is 30.94%; Epic is 8.00%; Legendary is 2.00%, and it drops 1 to 3 cosmetics.
In the premium version, the chest tier probabilities and the number of cosmetic drops are the same, but you also receive BCN tokens. The probabilities are: 65% chance for 0 BCN; 25% chance for 1 BCN; 9% chance for 5 BCN; 1% chance for 30 BCN.
