特朗普政府拟加征芯片关税,为美国本土制造企业提供豁免

2026-09-02 12:31

The Trump administration is weighing a new round of tariffs on imported semiconductors, potentially intensifying tariffs on foreign chips to attract more semiconductor manufacturing to the U.S. However, these tariffs may be paired with tariff relief measures for companies investing in domestic U.S. manufacturing, following the administration's previous approach to the pharmaceutical industry.

Lutnick said: "That's the principle the semiconductor industry should follow: if you produce in the U.S., we'll give you tariff relief; if you don't produce in the U.S., you pay tariffs. It's a very smart approach, and it works." Trump has already imposed 25% tariffs on some advanced semiconductors and ordered additional import tariffs on these chips in January after the U.S. Commerce Department completed its related trade investigation. However, the scope of the new tariffs may expand from semiconductors themselves to products containing chips, potentially affecting imports of data center servers and consumer electronics. (Jin Shi)
