Odaily Planet Daily News: Patrick Witt, Executive Director of the President's Council of Advisors for Digital Assets, stated that the Donald Trump administration will continue negotiations with Democrats until the Senate votes on the CLARITY Act in September, but it cannot wait indefinitely.
The Senate is expected to hold a cloture vote on the bill in mid-September, a procedure that requires 60 votes for the bill to advance to a final vote.
The CLARITY Act aims to establish a federal market structure for digital assets, clarify the conditions under which crypto tokens are subject to securities or commodity regulations, and regulate trading platforms. Disagreements remain unresolved over stricter ethics provisions related to Trump-linked crypto interests and rules allowing companies to pay rewards to stablecoin holders. (Cointelegraph)
