宇树科技IPO最大输家:大疆错失37亿元股权,曾于2018年计划以6000万元估值取得约17%股份,但因反腐风波处理对应负责人最终放弃投资
The biggest loser in Unitree Robotics' IPO: DJI missed out on 3.7 billion yuan in equity. It had planned to acquire approximately 17% of shares at a valuation of 60 million yuan in 2018, but ultimately abandoned the investment after the responsible person was dealt with amid the anti-corruption scandal.
According to public information, Odaily Planet Daily reported that before founding Unitree Robotics, Wang Xingxing, the company's founder, briefly worked at DJI before leaving to establish Unitree Robotics.
In 2018, a fund under DJI planned to invest 10.1286 million yuan in Unitree Robotics, acquiring approximately 17% of shares, corresponding to a post-investment valuation of about 60 million yuan at the time. The capital increase had already completed industrial and commercial registration, making DJI the largest external shareholder of Unitree Robotics.
However, due to DJI's internal anti-corruption crackdown in 2019, the investment lead responsible for the project was implicated and dealt with, and all external investments were suspended for review. DJI ultimately chose to abandon its investment in Unitree Robotics. Based on Unitree's IPO issuance valuation, if DJI had held the shares from that year until now, the corresponding equity market value could reach 3.7 billion yuan. (Bianews)
