韩国智库：半导体出口强劲拉动增长，韩国经济改善扩大

The Odaily Planet Daily reports that the Korea Development Institute (KDI) said in its monthly economic assessment report on Monday: "The Korean economy is showing signs of broader improvement, driven by the semiconductor-related industries." KDI added: "Exports and facility investment continue to show strong growth led by the semiconductor industry, while consumption of durable goods is accelerating overall consumption growth." The institute also stated: "As the service sector maintains a sound development trend and the manufacturing sector rebounds, overall industry production has achieved a relatively high growth rate."

However, KDI noted that South Korea, as the fourth-largest economy in Asia, still faces uncertainties including US tariff policies and ongoing geopolitical instability in the Middle East. The think tank also emphasized that South Korea's currently elevated inflation and worsening employment conditions are posing challenges to the economy. (Jin Shi)
