The White House cryptocurrency advisor Patrick Witt posted on X platform, stating that Congress has been pushing for cryptocurrency market structure legislation for years, and the Senate has also been continuously negotiating the "CLARITY Act" since last summer. However, in the past week, Chuck Schumer and the so-called "pro-crypto Democrats" blocked the bill from proceeding to a procedural vote before the recess and demanded further delays.

Patrick Witt warned that if the bill fails to make progress before September 15, the likelihood of its passage in the future will drop significantly.
