Berkshire Hathaway's Q2 net profit surged significantly, while cash reserves declined

The Odaily Planet Daily reports that Berkshire Hathaway A (BRK.A.N) posted Q2 2026 revenue of $12.983 billion, compared to $92.515 billion in the same period last year; Q2 net income attributable to shareholders was $25.667 billion, versus $12.370 billion in the same period last year. Additionally, cash reserves fell to $364.7 billion, down from $397.0 billion in the first quarter. As of June 30, the fair value of its fixed-income securities investments stood at $17.034 billion, with investments in U.S. Treasuries, foreign bonds, and corporate bonds valued at $3.002 billion, $12.668 billion, and $1.364 billion, respectively. The company's total fair value of equity investments is 66% concentrated in American Express, Apple, Bank of America, Alphabet, and Coca-Cola. (Jin Shi)
