科技股强劲反弹,助推纳指100市值四日飙升3.5万亿美元
Theo Odaily Planet Daily, strong earnings boosted investor confidence in the prospects of artificial intelligence, driving the Nasdaq 100 index up 9.3% in just four days, marking its strongest rally since April 2025, with market value surging by $3.5 trillion. The rebound in the tech sector was broad-based, with gains seen across semiconductor companies, software firms, and hyperscale data center operators making heavy capital expenditures. Robust second-quarter results have convinced investors that massive AI investments are not only here to stay but are already beginning to generate returns for some major corporations.
"The days of shorting the big capital spenders (i.e., hyperscalers) and going long the small capital spenders are over—and I think that's a good thing," said David Rainville, lead manager of the Sycomore Sustainable Tech fund. "This is no longer a simple binary trade." However, the latest earnings season has also exposed a clear divergence among tech giants: investors favor companies demonstrating tangible AI revenue, while remaining cautious toward those with less visible returns.
