存储芯片大消息,苹果压价失败

2026-08-05 09:04

The Odaily Planet Daily reports, citing industry insiders as quoted by South Korean IT media outlet DigitalDaily, that Apple had previously considered bringing China's ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) into its new supply chain to reduce costs. However, the company has now encountered resistance in negotiations to further lower procurement prices. In an effort to alleviate cost pressures for the next-generation iPhone and other smart devices, Apple recently held talks with CXMT regarding supply prices for mobile DRAM such as LPDDR5X, but its demands for price reductions were rejected.

It is understood that CXMT's quoted prices remain even higher than those of Samsung Electronics or SK Hynix, or at least on par with both. The core reason CXMT dared to decisively reject Apple's price-cut demands lies in the massive "stockpiling" by Chinese tech giants such as Huawei and Xiaomi. Under these circumstances, CXMT has no need to proactively lower prices and reduce profits to meet Apple's complex, stringent quality certifications and price-cut demands. Analysts suggest that robust domestic market demand in China has provided strong pricing support for CXMT. (Source: China Fund News)
