白宫拟周二与OpenAI等AI公司讨论监管框架,建立模型发布前自愿审查机制

2026-08-03 14:31

The White House plans to discuss a regulatory framework with AI companies such as OpenAI on Tuesday, establishing a voluntary review mechanism before model release.

Odaily Planet Daily News: According to sources familiar with the matter, the Trump administration has invited representatives from major technology companies including OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic to the White House on Tuesday to review a completed AI regulatory framework.

The framework is expected to establish a voluntary AI model submission review mechanism, allowing AI labs to submit relevant models to the government for evaluation before releasing new models to partners and the public.

Sources said the mechanism aims to strengthen the government's understanding of advanced AI system development and improve safety assessments of high-capability models before public deployment. Currently, the framework remains voluntary in nature and is not a mandatory regulatory measure.

The meeting reflects the U.S. government's ongoing exploration of a balance between AI innovation and safety regulation. As companies such as OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Anthropic continue to release more powerful foundation models, how to assess model capabilities and mitigate potential risks has become an important topic in U.S. AI policy-making.
