A-stock half-year closing: ChiNext surges over 35% to hit a new high

At the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.5%, the Shenzhen Component Index increased 2.48%, and the ChiNext Index gained 2.99%. The ChiNext Index has surged 35.58% year-to-date, hitting a historic high. The Shenzhen Component Index has risen 19.82% year-to-date, while the Shanghai Composite Index has increased 3.16% year-to-date. In terms of individual stocks, technology sector stocks performed strongly. Lianxun Instrument became the new king of A-share stocks, closing at 2,322.33 yuan, surging over 2,700% in three months since its listing. Yuanjie Technology has gained 326.02% year-to-date. Cambricon has risen over 75% year-to-date, joining the trillion-yuan market cap club. Zhongji Innolight has increased approximately 110% year-to-date. (Jinshi)
