Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Must receive fees for providing services in the Strait of Hormuz
Odaily Planet Daily News: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei stated that Iran's measures to ensure safe passage in the Strait of Hormuz are both for safeguarding national security and in line with the common interests of the international community. Iran must receive fees for providing services in the Strait of Hormuz.
A recording from a ship radio public channel, provided by a seaman on a merchant vessel near the Strait of Hormuz, shows that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy warned ships in the surrounding waters on the evening of the 13th local time, instructing them not to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The recording indicates that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy broadcasted to all ships in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, stating that the Strait of Hormuz is completely closed and that any passage by ships through the Strait will be "decisively dealt with." The broadcast also instructed all ships not to move within the Strait of Hormuz until further notice.
Naboyan, Deputy Chairman of the Iranian National Security Council, previously stated that according to the text of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States that he had reviewed, all commercial ships will resume passage through the Strait of Hormuz without any restrictions.
