U.S. Treasury Imposes New Sanctions on Iran, 8 Individuals and 5 Entities Blacklisted
According to Odaily, the U.S. Treasury announced on the 29th that, as part of "Operation Economic Fury," individuals and entities from multiple countries linked to Iran have been added to new sanctions lists to continue economic pressure on Iran. The Treasury stated that the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in coordination with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office, has taken action against a procurement network operating in Iran. This network allegedly "impersonates and defrauds U.S. companies" to procure goods for sanctioned users, including Iran's Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces. On the same day, according to Iranian sources, the sanctions announced by the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control include 8 individuals and 5 entities.
