The parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, ICE, is calling on regulators to create a level playing field that allows licensed institutions to offer 24/7 on-chain perpetual contracts. ICE executives stated that platforms like Hyperliquid are already conducting such trades, while traditional institutions are restricted by regulations from following suit.
ICE has engaged in discussions with Hyperliquid to explore synergies between traditional finance and the crypto industry. Additionally, ICE recently partnered with OKX to launch crude oil-related perpetual contracts and is collaborating with institutions to build a blockchain-based securities trading system, comprehensively deploying 24/7 on-chain trading services.
