According to Gate data, U.S. and Brent crude oil briefly dipped, with WTI crude oil now falling over 5% to $91.4 per barrel; Brent crude oil is now down about 4% to $92.6 per barrel.
The U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) fell below 99, with an intraday decline of 0.15%. The New Zealand Dollar against the U.S. Dollar (NZD/USD) broke above 0.59, with an intraday gain of 1.09%.
Spot gold surged $30 in a short period, now reported at $4,457 per ounce.
