Bank of America Held Nearly $53 Million in Crypto ETFs in Q1, Increased IBIT Holdings and Significantly Reduced Ethereum ETF Exposure

According to Bank of America's latest 13F filing for the first quarter, its total holdings in cryptocurrency ETFs and related concept stocks approached $53 million during the period.

BlackRock's IBIT was its largest single crypto ETF holding, valued at approximately $37 million, with a total of 972,590 shares held — an increase from 719,008 shares in the previous quarter. Bitwise holdings were valued at around $7.98 million, Grayscale's mini fund holdings at roughly $3.32 million, and Fidelity holdings at about $1.71 million. It also allocated small amounts to products such as Grayscale GBTC, VanEck HODL, and Ark 21Shares.

Meanwhile, it significantly reduced its Ethereum ETF holdings, retaining only 67,492 shares of the BlackRock Ethereum ETF, valued at approximately $1.06 million, and cut its exposure to Solana ETFs. Its XRP ETF position remained unchanged, still holding 13,000 shares of the Volatility Shares XRP ETF. Additionally, Bank of America held approximately 3.96 million shares of MicroStrategy, valued at around $660 million.
