Odaily Planet Daily News Billionaire investor Mark Cuban said he has sold most of his Bitcoin holdings, citing diminished confidence in Bitcoin's effectiveness as a hedge against fiat currency devaluation and geopolitical risks.
Cuban said in a podcast that he was disappointed that gold prices rose while Bitcoin fell after the outbreak of war with Iran, and that Bitcoin also failed to rise as expected when the US dollar weakened.
Previously, Mark Cuban had stated that Bitcoin was a "better version of gold," with approximately 60% of his crypto portfolio allocated to Bitcoin. He now says his level of disappointment in Bitcoin has exceeded that in Ethereum, and has referred to most other cryptocurrencies as "garbage." (CoinDesk)
