Co-founder Kipit stated that the core reason for the failure was building crypto technology on top of a trading card game model, as the two are inherently incompatible. Crypto trading card games place financial value as the primary entry point for players, attracting investors rather than gamers, turning the project into a managed economy rather than game development. Furthermore, Kipit pointed out that issuing tokens before achieving product-market fit is toxic.

In response to previous accusations of refusing refunds, the official statement reiterates that since the business was self-funded through product revenue, investor funds were never touched. All pre-seed and seed round investors will receive full refunds. (theblock)
