Odaily News reported that Darkfost posted on X platform, stating that during this rally to $80,000, the average unrealized profit margin for short-term holders is close to 15%. Their cost basis is currently estimated at approximately $70,100, with the current profit level being the highest since July 2025.
He pointed out that the market has now entered a zone where short-term holders' profits are beginning to heat up noticeably. As paper gains expand, the holding stability of these investors may decline, and profit-taking pressure will correspondingly increase. Therefore, it is not surprising that BTC's price has temporarily stalled near $80,000 recently.
