Odaily News: The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on August 1, local time, stating that Iran is determined to continue the path of resistance and steadfastness until the evil acts of its enemies are completely eliminated. The statement said that the United States continues to violate the relevant provisions of the June 18 US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding, persistently imposing a maritime blockade on Iranian ports and commercial vessels, launching brutal attacks on various parts of Iran, increasing economic pressure and illegal threats, and continuing its aggression against Iran. In response, the Iranian armed forces' defensive strikes are still being carried out with full force. The statement also stated that the United States and some of its regional allies, using the so-called "incident" involving three vessels on July 8 as a pretext, launched an attack on Iran that continues to this day, which is a concentrated manifestation of their fabrication of lies and their attempt to find excuses for violating the bilateral agreement and infringing on Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
