Amazon will release its second-quarter earnings after the US stock market closes today, with its AWS cloud business and capital expenditure becoming the market's focus.
Odaily reported that Amazon will release its 2026 second-quarter earnings after the US stock market closes. According to LSEG statistics, the market expects the company's revenue to be $196.47 billion, with earnings per share at $1.82. AWS cloud business revenue is expected to reach $40.54 billion, and advertising revenue is forecast at $19.43 billion.
The market is also closely watching Amazon's progress in AI infrastructure investment. The company previously maintained its 2026 capital expenditure guidance of approximately $200 billion. However, after Alphabet raised its full-year capital expenditure forecast, several institutions anticipate that Amazon may also increase its full-year capital expenditure target. Morgan Stanley expects Amazon's capital expenditure this year to reach $218 billion and is optimistic about AWS maintaining long-term growth driven by partnerships with OpenAI, Anthropic, and others.
