Transfer volume surges over 170x, monthly on-chain stock transfers reach $9.22 billion in June

Odaily Planet Daily reported that a16z crypto stated that the monthly transfer volume of tokenized stocks reached $9.22 billion in June this year, a more than 170-fold increase compared to $53 million in June last year. This metric measures all on-chain activities, including transactions, wallet-to-wallet transfers, and deposits of collateral into DeFi protocols.

a16z crypto pointed out that compared to the traditional stock market with monthly trading volumes in the trillions of dollars, the market size of tokenized stocks is still relatively small. However, an increasing number of issuers and platforms are launching tokenized stocks.
