Lenovo Exec: No Oversupply of Computing Power
Odaily reported that Ablikim Ablimit, Vice President of Lenovo Group and Chief Strategy Officer of Lenovo China, stated that in the long term, there remains significant room for AI computing power demand in both China and overseas markets, and there is no situation of oversupply. He noted that the number of mature, leading consumer-side AI products is currently limited, while the commercial potential on the enterprise side has not yet been fully unleashed. He added that the growth dividends from past productivity revolutions have all been driven by the industrial sector, and in the long run, the demand for computing power is immense.
He also pointed out that currently, the AI industry chain suffers from an imbalance in the supply-demand cycle, where the supply side holds too much influence. On the news front, Meta's recent opening up of its computing power has sparked market concerns about an oversupply of computing capacity. (Yicai)
