Story upgraded to DATA Foundation, shifting focus to AI training data infrastructure

Odaily Planet Daily News: Blockchain IP project Story Protocol has announced its transformation into the DATA Foundation, shifting its business focus from general intellectual property (IP) infrastructure to AI training data networks, in response to the rapidly growing demand for "licensable and traceable training data."

As part of this transformation, the new product Trace has been launched, an on-chain AI training data registration and audit system that generates verifiable on-chain "contribution credentials" for each piece of data. These credentials record the source, licensing terms, user consent, and payment information, helping AI model trainers ensure data compliance and traceability. (The Block)
