Aehr Test Systems surged over 13%, Applied Materials rose over 8%, ASML and Lam Research gained over 5%, all hitting new historical highs. On the news front, Citigroup raised its price targets for semiconductor equipment manufacturers Applied Materials and Lam Research, expressing a strong bullish outlook for NAND equipment demand.

The US stock optical communication concept sector also collectively rose. Credo Technology (CRDO) gained over 6%, AXT Inc (AXTI) rose over 5%, Astera Labs (ALAB) and Marvell Technology (MRVL) increased over 4%, Coherent (COHR) and Ciena (CIEN) rose over 2%.
