"白毛股神"Serenity: Global semiconductor materials landscape may be reshaped; Korea's Foosung could be one of the beneficiaries
Odaily Planet Daily news "White-haired Stock God" Serenity posted on platform X, stating that Korean semiconductor materials company Foosung (market cap of approximately $1.2 billion) may be entering a critical revaluation window. The logic lies in supply chain disruptions related to Japan's WF₆ (tungsten hexafluoride), a key precursor in semiconductor etching and deposition processes, crucial to global wafer manufacturing.
Serenity pointed out that if the WF₆ supply continues to tighten, it will directly impact approximately one-quarter of the global key production capacity demand chain, affecting major fabs such as SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics, and TSMC. This potential impact is akin to a "Strait of Hormuz-style" supply bottleneck.
Serenity estimates that Foosung currently accounts for about 10% of the global WF₆ supply chain. However, in the context of supply contraction or restructuring, its strategic weight could significantly increase. At the same time, they emphasized that this view is merely a market observation and hypothetical scenario, and they currently hold no related positions.
