日本宣布自战争爆发以来首艘穿越霍尔木兹海峡的油轮即将抵达
Odaily reported that Japan has announced the impending arrival of the first Persian Gulf oil cargo to transit the Strait of Hormuz since the outbreak of the Iran war.
In a briefing document released on Friday, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry stated that the Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) "Idemitsu Maru," which passed through the waterway in late April, could dock as early as Monday. The ministry noted that the vessel, carrying 2 million barrels of Saudi crude oil, is proceeding as scheduled toward Idemitsu Kosan's Aichi refinery.
The Middle East war has triggered an unprecedented energy supply shock, prompting major importers across Asia to search globally for alternative crude oil and natural gas cargoes. Like other developed countries, Japan has taken action to tap into its strategic reserves to cushion the impact of the conflict. (Jin Shi)
