Analysis: Nearly 60% of Robinhood Chain's stock token trading occurs outside regular U.S. stock market hours, highlighting the on-chain weekend trading advantage
Odaily Seutcoin Ilbo News - Crypto researcher Tom Wan posted on X platform stating that from September 24 to October 23, DEX trading volume of stock tokens on Robinhood Chain reached 3.68 billion USD, of which 59% occurred outside regular U.S. stock market trading hours.
Specifically, trading volume during regular trading hours was 1.5 billion USD, accounting for 41%; pre-market trading volume was 677 million USD, accounting for 18%; overnight trading volume was 608 million USD, accounting for 17%; weekend trading volume was 532 million USD, accounting for 14%; after-hours trading volume was 363 million USD, accounting for 10%.
Tom Wan pointed out that Nasdaq and NYSE Arca, under the New York Stock Exchange, plan to launch a trading mechanism on December 6 that operates 5 days a week, 23 hours a day, but this can only cover part of the overnight trading demand and is mainly aimed at investors who already have access to the U.S. stock market. Weekend trading remains a unique advantage of the on-chain market.
