Odaily Planet Daily News: Oman has quietly rejected Iran's proposal to charge commercial vessels a service fee in the Strait of Hormuz. Regional officials familiar with the matter said Oman refused to agree to the collection of environmental and security service fees, even on a voluntary basis, and that previous claims by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of an agreement between the two sides were untrue. Earlier, after Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi met with Omani Foreign Minister Al Busaidi in Tehran, Iranian Revolutionary Guard spokesman Hossein stated that the two countries had reached an agreement on the demarcation of waters in the Strait of Hormuz and the distribution of revenue.
