Tim Cook officially ends his 15-year tenure as Apple CEO, John Ternus takes over on September 1

Odaily News: Tim Cook's 15-year tenure as Apple CEO has officially come to an end, with Apple's hardware engineering chief John Ternus formally succeeding him on September 1, taking the helm of Apple, which has a market value of approximately $4.67 trillion. Cook will transition to the role of Executive Chairman.

Since taking over as CEO in 2011, Cook has led Apple's revenue from approximately $108 billion to $416 billion in 2025, with the company continuing to expand in scale.

Upon taking office, Ternus will face a series of challenges including Apple Intelligence, Siri, and AI strategy, with his first major test being Apple's new product launch event on September 9.
