CZ: Bitcoin will surpass gold's market cap in the next bull run
Odaily Planet Daily News In August 2025, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that Bitcoin's price could reach $1 million by 2030; a year later, after a price decline of about 30%, he lowered his forecast to $300,000–$400,000.
In October 2025, former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said Bitcoin would surpass gold, but did not provide a timeline. This week, after Bitcoin rose 27% in two weeks, he said Bitcoin would surpass gold's market cap in the next bull run and added that the $1 million target would be achieved earlier than 2025.
In November 2022, when Bitcoin was near $16,000, CZ said it was not dead, and in 2023 he predicted a bull market in 2025; his 2026 supercycle call was later not realized. Armstrong said this month that there is a significant possibility Bitcoin will reach $100,000 by the end of this year. (Bitcoin.com News)
