Duan Yongping Responds to Changes in Pop Mart Holdings: Never Directly Sold, Current Price Not Expensive in the Long Term
Odaily Planet Daily News Duan Yongping responded on Xueqiu to recent changes in his Pop Mart holdings, stating that he has "never directly sold a single share of Pop Mart." Some of the changes in holdings mainly stem from options trading and expiration exercises, which do not indicate a long-term bearish view on Pop Mart.
Duan Yongping stated that when the position of sold Puts approaches the upper limit, he adopts a strategy of "buying the stock and selling Calls." When the stock is called away upon expiration, it is essentially a similar trading strategy to selling Puts that get exercised at expiration. The current option premium for Pop Mart is approximately 5% per month, and he may continue to use this strategy for an extended period in the future.
Regarding Pop Mart's valuation, Duan Yongping said, "At the current price level, I believe it is not expensive in the long term, though I don't know about the short term." He emphasized that he has not set a specific time or price to sell Pop Mart, and it may remain unsold for a long time.
