Bitcoin mining company LM Funding America rebrands to PowerCompute, pivoting to AI computing infrastructure business
Odaily Planet Daily News Nasdaq-listed bitcoin mining company LM Funding America announced that it will officially change its name to PowerCompute starting July 22, 2026, to align with its new strategic direction of transitioning into the AI computing infrastructure sector. Meanwhile, its common stock is expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq market under the new ticker symbol "PWCM" at market open on July 22, with the CUSIP number remaining unchanged. Shareholders do not need to take any action due to the name and ticker change.
The company will leverage its existing facility resources and low-cost electricity advantages to provide high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure services to clients. Currently, the company operates two facilities with a total of 26 megawatts (MW) of low-cost power capacity, and plans to further serve enterprise clients with demand for AI computing power. This rebranding marks LM Funding America's further transformation from a traditional crypto mining company into a "computing infrastructure provider," betting on the growth of the AI data center and high-performance computing market.
