Blockworks: There are currently about 250 active liquid funds in the industry

Odaily reported that famous trader Ansem asked on X to data service providers including Blockworks: "Has anyone counted how many liquid funds there are in the crypto space and what their total AUM is?"
Blockworks co-founder Jason Yanowitz replied: "I guess there are about 800 globally. My list has 470 (there were 1,500 in early 2022), but there might be another 40%-50% of funds that haven't disclosed information. Currently, about 250 are active, but most have very small AUM, like small funds run by two founders with maybe only $10 million in AUM... Most of the AUM is actually concentrated in a few funds."
