Odaily Planet Daily News Bitcoin has completed its latest difficulty adjustment at block height 953,568, with a decrease of -10.09% (from 138.96T to 124.93T). This is the 11th largest single adjustment in history and the second-largest decline since 2026. Additionally, this adjustment cycle took approximately 15.6 days, significantly higher than the theoretical 14-day target cycle, reflecting a recent phase of hashrate exiting the network.
Analysts believe that the approximately 15% price correction in June compressed miners' profit margins, leading some hashrate to exit the network. This triggered the notable downward adjustment, bringing mining difficulty back to an equilibrium level.
