Odaily Planet Daily reported that according to Gate data, U.S. and Brent crude oil both fell briefly, with WTI crude oil now down over 5%, currently reported at $91.4 per barrel; Brent crude oil is now down about 4%, reported at $92.6 per barrel.
The U.S. dollar index DXY fell below the 99 mark, with a daily decline of 0.15%. The New Zealand dollar against the U.S. dollar NZD/USD broke through 0.59, with a daily gain of 1.09%.
Spot gold surged $30 in the short term, reported at $4,457 per ounce.
