Iranian Intelligence Ministry says adversaries are applying pressure through a soft war
Odaily Planet Daily News: According to a report by Iran's Tasnim News Agency today (May 27), the Iranian intelligence department issued a statement claiming that "hostile forces" are attempting to exert new pressure on Iran through "soft war," "cognitive war," and other "hybrid warfare" tactics. The statement said that according to information obtained by the Iranian side, the enemy is currently focusing on seven areas, including increasing economic pressure, exploiting social issues to incite public opinion, stirring up ethnic and religious conflicts, carrying out terrorist attacks and sabotage activities, smuggling weapons and illegal communication equipment, launching cyber attacks, and conducting information warfare through overseas Persian media and social media platforms. The statement also indicated that the enemy had attempted to use armed groups to launch ground operations from western and northwestern Iran, but those plans have been thwarted by the Iranian side. The statement further accused some overseas media of participating in the information war and claimed that Iranian intelligence agencies have seized a large quantity of weapons and communication equipment. In its concluding remarks, the Iranian intelligence department stated that Iran has experienced multiple wars, coup attempts, and various security challenges, and has maintained stability in the face of intelligence warfare and hybrid warfare.
